    New Year's Resolution Guide

     A SIMPLE GUIDE TO lasting CHANGE

    When it comes to New Year’s resolutions, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed with goals that lead us to  a) never start working towards it or b) start our ambitious journey, but quit shortly after. Often times, it’s a matter of a change in perspective. This guide is meant to keep your goals simple, focused, and attainable with simple daily habits. It takes 15 minutes, and can make a huge difference in your resolution success. Each answer leads to the final statement. Be sure to do the final step, it’s a major key to unlock your full potential to create lasting change!

    Print this out or grab a journal or some paper to answer the questions below!

     

    What are your top two health goals for 2017:

    WHY (This is the most important question to answer!)

    Why do you want to reach these goals?
     

    WHAT

    Goal #1

    Has this been a goal in the past? If yes, what do you think kept you from reaching it?

     

    What is one thing you can do daily that would help you reach this goal?

     

    Goal #2

    Has this been a goal in the past? If yes, what do you think kept you from reaching it?

     

    What is one thing you can do daily that would help you reach this goal?

     

    WHEN

    When will these daily habits take place? (First thing in the morning? Lunch break? Evening? How many times a week?)

     

    WHO

    Who do you know that lives out these goals as a part of their lifestyle?

     

    Who might be willing to pursue these goals with you?

     

    WHERE

    Take a moment to visualize  where you would be in a year if you did those simple steps with the person listed above at least 4 days a week this coming year. Write down where you will be in your health and what a typical day looks like for you on this healthy journey.

     

    Say the following (or something like it) to one or both of the people listed under WHO:

     

    My goal for 2017 is  [Insert Goal #1]. I want to reach this goal because [Insert why]. I will get there slowly but surely by [insert daily action] [insert when]. You are someone that I want to journey with in this goal, because [insert reason]. Ultimately, I need support and accountability. With your help, this time next year, I see myself [insert where]. Will you join me
