3 Ways to Make Next Week Awesome

I’ve had this unfortunate pattern of having irritable, frustrated, & crabby episodes on Friday’s for the last couple of weeks now.

Maybe it’s just me, but after a busy week, I can easily find myself spent, and easily set off.

One thing that has helped A TON to minimize my end of the week drain is doing this simple process on the weekends.

REFLECT

I could easily say, “That’s it!! I just can’t handle caring for Rhys & running a biz.” Or “I barely have time to shower, let alone meal prep or workout.”

Instead, I ask myself, “what worked last week?”

“What didn’t work?”

“What can I adjust?”

“Where can I get support?”

Once I’ve thought through these things, I make notes, and other together a plan for the next week.

PLAN & PREPARE

I did a post earlier this week on my need to prioritize rest. Each week I’m intentionally planning in even moments to give myself space to unwind & chill. This is helping end weeks in a better place!!

That’s one of my intentions for the week. When I’m clear on what those are, I begin planning.

I include biz events, personal events, and the times I need for personal well being.

I write out a menu for the week, and I schedule when I’ll meal prep & cook.

Once it’s planned out, I’ll make space to prepare things over the weekend so I don’t have to worry about it during the week.

DECIDE

I wish making lists and plans meant that they happened, but without DECIDING to do it, it’s easy to let things fall by the wayside.

Enroll someone to keep you accountable (like me!), do it with a friend, or have something in place that will keep you on track!

When are you setting up for the week?

Send me an email and let me know!
