Becoming Vision Driven

I recently talked about cravings and their biological challenges. I said I’d get into a bit of the emotional, mental, and spiritual side of things.

While we can’t really separate the physical side of cravings from the emotional side, we can at least better understand how they interplay and take steps to make choices that serve our overarching vision for our health!

I’m going to get into the nitty gritty of the mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of cravings & how to overcome them next week in my Greens & Grace group (totally free, just message me so I can add you)

Today, though, I want to emphasize the major importance of being VISION DRIVEN in your health journey.

This is one of the key pillars of my Sustainable Health program.

It’s one of the things that makes a health attempt into a life long lifestyle.

So what does it mean to be vision driven?

It means WHEN (not if) you get discouraged, fall off track, or get burnt out on whatever health attempt you’re trying - you don’t quit, BECAUSE you are motivated by more than weight loss or the desire to feel good(though, both of which are fine goals).

Rather, you’re fueled by God’s grace and driven by the vision He’s given you for your health and your life.

This picture here is a picture of three of the biggest pieces of my vision.

1. I am driven to be well because I want to be and do all that God has called me to with health & vitality. I do not want to be hindered by physical ailments that I can prevent with my daily choices.

2. I am driven to partner with my husband in our relationship with God to be a light, to demonstrate His love, and to usher in His Kingdom.

3. I am committed to loving and supporting my precious boy and any other kids we have in being who THEY are called to be and in supporting their generation and the generations that come after I pass in being their own unique reflections of Jesus in the world.

Eating well & exercising, for me, have become inextricable behaviors tied to this vision.

In my mind, it’s not just about my physical health and whether or not I should eat well. It’s about being who I’m created to be, serving how I’m called to serve, & stewarding the life I’ve been given!

When it comes to cravings, it’s important to understand the different factors that play into them. At the same time, it’s even MORE important to be clear on WHY you want to address them and make healthier choices in the first place.

This is why my program is so much more than meal plans and nutrition info. It’s holistic, and specifically intentional in tying in all of who we are - mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Like I said, I’m getting into all of this in my free Greens & Grace group!

Shoot me a message if you want to join!

And if you don’t want to watch another video series without a specific plan and the support you need to move forward, you can apply for one of my 4 coaching spots for April.

Just let me know soon! I’ve got several in the application process already. I’d love to see if you’re a good fit for our community!
