Here’s a quick and easy family lunch: grass fed steak salad
This took about 15 minutes from start to finish to throw together
It’s got tons of greens, protein, healthy fat, and a little bit of carbs.
There are so many variations that you can do with salads, but here’s what I threw in each:
1/3lb of @cuisinesolutions Grass fed sliced steak from @costco (I’ve found this steak at multiple Costco’s, so maybe it’s at yours!)
2 handfuls of organic mixed greens
1/2 an organic cucumber, sliced
2tbs of everything bagel goat cheese dip (can just use goat cheese - also, this recipe is coming!)
1tbs of green onions, sliced
8-10 organic grapes, sliced in half
@localleaf_sd radish micro greens
2tbs of @thenewprimal Citrus Zest dressing
Toss it all together, and voila!
When I’m putting together a salad, I try and think of:
What will be the main protein? (Chicken, salmon, beef)
What’s going to add a bit of crunch? (Cucumber, celery, pecans, walnuts, sunflower seed?)
What’s my healthy fat? (Avocado? Goat cheese?)
Where are my healthy carbs coming from? (Fruit, sweet potato?)
What’s your go to salad fix?
